YOUNG SLEuro FORUM

A community for early-career lupus clinicians and researchers

What is the Young SLEuro Forum?​
The Young SLEuro Forum is a dynamic initiative launched under the umbrella of the
European Lupus Society (SLEuro), created to support and connect early-career professionals
dedicated to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It aims to nurture the next generation of
lupus experts through education, mentorship, collaboration, and visibility.

Who can join?
∙SLEuro members under the age of 40
∙Clinically or research-active in the field of SLE
∙Without a permanent academic post (e.g. not full/associate professors)

Our Mission:
Support the strategic direction of the SLEuro Executive Committee through:
∙Promoting education and structured learning (e.g., journal clubs, webinars)
∙Facilitating mentorship and career development
∙Fostering cross-centre collaboration and networking
∙Amplifying young researchers’ voices via social media, newsletters, and conference
sessions

Key Activities:
∙Mentorship events: Mentor–mentee breakfasts and congress networking sessions
∙Journal clubs: Online discussions of lupus-focused publications, led by young
members
∙Conference activities: Meet-the-Expert Research round tables
∙Research highlights: Newsletters and social media to promote member research
∙Collaborative projects: Support for multicentre and interdisciplinary initiatives
